Claim Assessment & Evidence Strategy

Keystone Legal provides an early, candid assessment of intimate partner violence and family violence claims across Alberta. These cases turn on evidence, and the strength of a claim is often decided long before trial by how the record is identified, preserved, and organized.

An initial assessment looks at the conduct alleged, the documentary and electronic evidence available, the likely witnesses, the limitation position, and the realistic range of recovery. Where a pattern of coercive control is involved, the work also includes mapping that pattern across time so it can be presented coherently rather than as scattered incidents.

Keystone Legal advises on safely preserving communications, financial records, and other materials, and on the order of steps to ensure a client is not exposed to unnecessary risk while a claim is built. The objective is a clear, honest view of whether and how to proceed before significant cost is incurred.

Assessments are conducted through secure virtual consultation across Alberta. Services are available in English and French.
