Engagement and Fee Structure

Legal representation requires careful preparation, strategic analysis, and disciplined execution. Fee structures are tailored to the scope and complexity of each matter. Most retained files require an advance trust retainer, with ongoing billing based on work performed.

Clear communication regarding fees, timelines, and procedural steps is provided at the outset of representation to ensure alignment and predictability.

Paid consultations are designed to provide focused legal assessment and strategic direction. The consultation is limited in scope and does not constitute ongoing representation.

At the conclusion of the consultation, the lawyer will discuss next steps and, where appropriate, provide an overview of retainer requirements, billing arrangements, and accepted payment methods for continued legal services.

All personal information is handled in accordance with Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act.
