NAOMI ISKRA
Founder & Counsel
Naomi is the founder of Keystone Legal, a boutique law firm representing and advising clients across Alberta in complex family, estate, business, and private client matters where personal relationships, private wealth, business interests, and long-term planning intersect.
Her practice covers contested and resolution-focused work in equal measure. On the family and estate side, she represents clients in parenting disputes, child and spousal support proceedings, division of family property, estate administration, will challenges, and related applications. She appears in the Alberta Court of Justice and the Alberta Court of King’s Bench when required. She prepares every file to the same standard whether it resolves at the negotiation table or proceeds to trial.
Her approach emphasizes disciplined preparation, command of the financial and evidentiary record, and rigorous application of the disclosure obligations and procedural framework that govern each matter, including the Federal Child Support Guidelines, the Alberta Rules of Court, and the rules governing contested estate, commercial, and regulatory proceedings. Where settlement serves the client, Naomi negotiates from a position of preparation rather than posture. Where contested proceedings are necessary, she advances the file through application, trial, and appeal.
Naomi’s practice also spans private client and wealth planning, estate administration and advisory, business and governance advisory, intellectual property and creative advisory, and privacy and professional advisory matters. She advises founders, professionals, athletes, entertainers, and privately held businesses on contract negotiation, endorsement and sponsorship arrangements, image and likeness matters, intellectual property strategy, governance, privacy, and the protection of personal and commercial reputation. Clients retain her during periods of significant transition requiring discretion, strategic clarity, and careful coordination across personal, financial, and corporate interests.
Before entering legal practice, Naomi served as an equity partner within a professional corporation involved in an eight-figure national acquisition. That role provided direct exposure to governance, ownership transitions, deal structuring, and the operational realities of business leadership at scale. It also gave me a working command of corporate financial statements, tax filings, and the structures through which income and assets move in closely held enterprises. This commercial fluency informs her work across advisory matters, contract negotiation, and contested files alike.
Naomi Iskra holds a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Civil Law from McGill University’s Faculty of Law, and degrees from York University’s Glendon College. She provides legal services in both English and French across Alberta.
